The Sleepy Labs

Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

This policy covers everything on thesleepylabs.com: the photo galleries, the Good Feeds map and the rest of the site. The Sleepy Labs ("we" or "us") is a personal, non-commercial website run by Lucas in New South Wales, Australia.

We don't ask for, collect or sell personal information. The rest of this page explains exactly what does happen when you use the site, and which other companies are involved in running it.

In short

  • No accounts, sign-ups or ads.
  • No tracking or advertising cookies, and no analytics.
  • Your location is only used when you tap the location button in Good Feeds and allow it. It's never stored.
  • Places you save stay in your own browser. They're never sent to us.
  • The companies that host and deliver the site (listed in section 3) see your IP address, as they would for any website.

1. Information we collect

When you contact us

If you email the email address on our Contact page or message @sleepy.lucas60 on Instagram, we receive your name or handle, your email address or account, and whatever you write. We use this only to reply to you and keep it only as long as needed for that conversation.

When you use Good Feeds

To find places, your browser sends our server your search text, the filters you've chosen and the area of the map you're looking at. If you use the find-my-location button on the map, your browser will ask your permission, and if you allow it, your current coordinates are used to centre the map and search nearby. These details are used only to answer that request. They aren't saved, logged by us, or linked to you.

Technical information

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes standard technical details (your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't add any extra tracking on top of this.

2. Stored on your device

We don't set any cookies, and there are no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies on this site. Good Feeds uses your browser's own storage for a few conveniences, which never leave your device:

  • Saved places: the places you bookmark.
  • Install reminder: remembers if you closed the "Get the app" bar so it doesn't keep appearing.
  • Notice reminder: remembers that you pressed "Got it" on the privacy notice.
  • Offline copy: if you open Good Feeds as an app, a copy of the page is kept so it opens quickly. Place data is always fetched fresh and isn't cached.

You can delete all of this at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings or uninstalling the app.

Security cookies from our host. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) if it needs to check that a visitor isn't a bot. These are strictly necessary to keep the site safe, aren't used to track you or for advertising, and expire within hours to days. See Cloudflare's cookie list.

3. Third-party services

These services help run the site. When your browser loads something from them, they receive your IP address and basic browser details, and handle it under their own privacy policies:

ServiceWhat it does here
CloudflareHosts the website and the Good Feeds search.
Tailwind CSS (cdn.tailwindcss.com) & unpkgProvide page styling and the Leaflet map software.
OpenStreetMap (map tiles from openstreetmap.fr)Supplies the map images for the area you're viewing. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Google SheetsSupplies the live restaurant list on the Projects page.
StripeProcesses optional support payments on its own checkout page (only if you choose to support the site).

Some buttons take you to other websites, including Google Maps (directions), a venue's own website, Instagram and Stripe's checkout. Once you leave, that site's privacy policy applies. Support payments are handled entirely by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. We never see your card details; Stripe shares only what's needed to record a payment (such as the amount and, if you give it, your email for the receipt).

4. Where Good Feeds' place information comes from

Good Feeds lists businesses such as restaurants, cafés, pubs and bottle shops. Their details (name, address, category, star rating and review count, price level, opening hours, typical busy times and website) come from publicly available business listings, mainly Google Maps, gathered through third-party data services. We don't collect or show reviewers' names, review text or personal details about individuals.

Business owners: if your listing is wrong, or you'd like it removed, email the email address on our Contact page and we'll fix or remove it.

5. Photos and videos

The galleries contain our own photos and videos. Location and camera details are removed from the published copies. If you appear in one and would like it taken down, let us know and we'll remove it.

6. Security, storage and children

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We keep very little information, but no website can be guaranteed 100% secure. Some of the services above may store or process data outside Australia. The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask what information we hold about you (usually none beyond any messages you've sent), and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing the email address on our Contact page. We aim to reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or the data-protection authority where you live.

8. Disclaimer

  • Good Feeds is a free hobby project provided "as is". Ratings, opening hours, prices, parking, busy times and other details can be out of date or wrong. Please check with the venue before you go, especially for allergies, dietary needs, accessibility or bookings.
  • Being listed isn't a recommendation or endorsement, and listed businesses haven't endorsed or paid for Good Feeds.
  • The Sleepy Labs isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Instagram, Stripe or any listed business. All trademarks and business names belong to their owners.
  • We aren't responsible for the content of external websites we link to.
  • To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from using this site. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Get in touch. See also our Terms of Use.
